Lumens are cameraless images created with old, often expired, silver gelatin photographic paper, plant matter, and direct sunlight. The amount of silver in the paper, the strength of the sunlight, humidity levels, and the length of exposure all combine to allow for interesting and unpredictable color shifts. After exposure, the images are scanned and edited in Photoshop where I often play with additional layers of textural photographs.
